Black and White Twins Born From the Same Mother

A German couple gave birth to twin sons on July 11, 2008. The twins are fraternal twins meaning that they do not like exactly the same. These twins are a different from other twins though. Not only do they not look exactly alike, one is black and the other is white.

According to doctors, this is a one-in-a-million chance but it can happen to couples of mixed races. The parents to Ryan, who has light skin and blue, and Leo, who has dark-skinned with brown eyes, are from different backgrounds. Stephan Gerth is German and white while his wife, Florence Addo-Gerth, is from Ghana and has dark skin.

The couple and twins are healthy and happy.

I never thought that could happen. This shows one of the many things this world can show you that you may never have seen before. I'm happy the twins are doing fine and congrats to the couple.
