Is Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad from The Hills friends again?

Heidi and Lauren from MTV's popular show, The Hills, has a photo shoot together along with the other girls from the show for the cover of Rolling Stone. Apparently they're on speaking terms again... at least for now. The photo will picture the two giving each other dirty looks. Will the peace last?
I hope they don't end their friendship just because of a guy again. I don't know what Heidi saw in Spencer. Plus, Spencer is such a jerk. If they are ever going to make up, I don't know. Just have to wait and see.
