American Idol Voted off Results 4/30/08

Brooke White was voted off this week. It was sad to see her go. Our top 4 is David Archuleta, David Cook, Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado. As another week goes by, another contestant is voted off. This week, the teary eyed Brooke White was voted off.

On Tuesday night the contestants were to sing two songs by Neil Diamond. Brooke sang "I'm a Believer" and "I Am ... I Said." Simon Cowell thought the first performance was ,"A nightmare" but said her second performance was a million times better.

As Brooke sang her last performance on the Idol stage, you could tell she was sad as her eyes teared up. It's sad that she left but she will do great in the future.

Paula Abdul was confused and messed up on American Idol

Paula Abdul was totally confused and messed up on American Idol last night. The contestants were supposed to sing two songs but after the first round the judges gave a quick critique. Paula said, "Jason, first song, I loved hearing your lower register, which we never really hear, um.... "The second song, I felt like your usual charm wasn't — it was missing for me. It kind of left me a little empty." She also confused Jason Castro with David Cook. There was no comparison. David Cook rocked last night.

Jimi Hendrix Sex tape

I have no idea how they found this sex tape. According to the NY Times, "The film shows a naked man who resembles Hendrix, the guitar legend who died in 1970, wearing a bandanna in his Afro, having sex with two brunettes in a dimly lighted bedroom. His full face appears on screen for only a few seconds, with his eyes closed. In other portions there are flashes of his profile. But his hands, bedecked with rings, roam large on the screen at times. The film has no audio."

It seems like lately sex tapes have been surfacing on the internet and the celebrities are making money off of it. For example, Paris Hilton made some money off of her sex tape. I wonder where will the profits go for the Jimi Hendrix's sex tape.

Tornadoes strike Southern Virginia (VA)

I turned on the news yesterday and they reported that tornadoes hit Southern Virginia. It was difficult to watch all the damages and their loss. I can't imagine winds of more than a 70 mph overturning autos and demolishing houses. I would be terrified if a tornado was heading towards our city. I hope everyone is safe with their love ones

Miley Cyrus Nude photos on Vanity Fair

It seems like Miley have been popular from recent weeks of all these inappropriate photos surfacing the internet. However, this photo is different. Her dad was even on the set and approved of these photos. Annie Leibovitz, photographer for Vanity Fair Magazine, took photos of Miley while Miley's parents were present. The most controversial photo was of Miley's draped with a satin looking sheet, with her back exposed and her looking over her shoulder. Hmm, isn't she kind of young to do that at the moment?

Miley claimed that the photos were suppose to be artsy and she did not intend it to come out the way it did. She apologized to her fans and that she cares for them. This might affect the young star.

Terrence Dickson survived by eating dog food and drinking pepsi for 8 days

I just happened to turned on the TV on Fox 6 and they were mentioning about a robbery in Bristol, Pennsylvania. After Terrence Dickson, the burglar, tried to leave through the garage with all the goods, the garage door malfunctioned. The family's house that he tried to rob had been on vacation and he was stuck in the garage for 8 days. He survived by drinking Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food. EWWW!!!! I think I gagged a little in my mouth when I heard this. Oh to top this off, he sued the homeowner's insurance company for $500,000 for mental anguish. How could he even have the nerves to file a claim.

Pussycat Dolls presents Girlicious finale

The five remaining girls sang their hearts out. Charlye still thinks she has it all but not getting along with the rest of the girls hurt her in the end. She was eliminated. Most of the girls were thrilled that Charlye was voted off but there was the suspense of the last two girls being in the group. Nichole and Tiffanie made it and there was only one spot left. After the long suspense of waiting to see if Chrystina or Natalie will make it into Girlicious, the judges deliberated that both were going to be in Girlicious. The twist was that instead of a group of three, they made it a group of four. They already have a music video and single out "Like Me". They will debut their album sometime in June.

I'm so excited that Charlye was out of the group. Her attitude brought so much drama that the group did not need.

American Idol's Carly Smithson was voted off this week

I was shocked to see Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado on the bottom two. I thought they both had great performance. This was Carly Smithson best performance. I definitely thought that Brooke White (even though she is one of my favorite) or Jason Castro would be on the bottom two.

I was disappointed that Carly was booted off. Well at least she got her foot in the door and American Idol gave her the second chance to be famous. I read that she only sold 100 albums but I'm pretty sure that she'll sell more than a 100 now.

Brazil's flying prest, Father Rev Adelir Antonio de Carli missing with balloons

Father Rev Adelir Antonio de Carli began his flight on Sunday with 1000 colorful balloons. He had floated off of the coast of Brazil wearing a helmet, a thermal suit, and a parachute. He planned to fly west for 20 hours so he can break the 19 hours record of flying with balloons. He wanted to raise money fro a rest-stop for truck drivers. Unfortunately the wind took an unexpected turn and took him towards the southern part of the Atlantic Ocean. The last time they heard from him was on Sunday when he used his cell phone to give his coordinates.

I always wondered about flying with balloons since I was a kid. I never knew that someone actually did it. I hope he's safe and in good health.

Richard Quest the CNN journalist was arrested for meth

Richard Quest the CNN journalist was arrested on friday morning at 3:40 am (park was already closed). He was at New Yorks Central Park for possession of meth and loitering.

According to the New York Post:
CNN personality Richard Quest was busted in Central Park early yesterday with some drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said.

Where did he think of the sick idea of tying a rope around his neck to his genitals? I find this man really disgusting and disturbing.

Miley Cyrus, 15 years old, seems so innocent, family oriented and down to earth on TV. I guess there are new slutty pictures of Miley on the internet. Would you say it was an accident or a teenager breaking free into the wild side? It seems like her father Billy Cyrus is trying to keep her down to earth but it's only up to her to do it. All these pictures about her can really hurt her career in the long run. Are these pictures real or are they photoshopped? You can be the judge of it.

Aliza Shvarts using abortion as art or a hoax????

Aliza Shvarts, a Yale art student,stirred up controversy with her senior project. She claimed to induce abortions repeatedly and used the blood on her art project. Is this a hoax? It's too late for an April fools hoax.

She claims to use herbal drugs to induce miscarriages. Next Tuesday, she will have her art in the exhibit and it will include videos of forced miscarriages. She said, “the entire project is an art piece, a creative fiction designed to draw attention to the ambiguity surrounding form and function of a woman’s body.” Couldn't she have done this some other way? Is this a hoax or does she have issues?

I think this women has issues. To even think of this type of hoax, it's just wrong. It's disgusting to use this hoax to get attention drawn to her.

American Idol's Kristy Lee Cook voted off

On April 16, 2008, Kristy Lee Cook was voted off and sent home. She's sort of a tomboy that's from Oregon. To audition for American Idol, Kristy had to sell her horse. I can't believe that she stayed on the show for this long. Kristy was not one of my favorites. I thought she was ok. She had a long run and she sounds like she could do well in the country genre. I hope she gets her horse back.

Now the competition has gone tougher. Most of my favorite idols are left. I want to vote for them all. It might cancel my votes...hehe

American Idol's David Cook dating Lacey Schwimmer

OK! magazine learned that the two stars have become closer since the rehearsal for Idol Gives Back. OK! sources say that they had total chemistry during the rehearsals and they are now dating. It is even to the point where David would stay out past curfew to be with Lacey and skip out sometimes during the day. OK! sources even noticed that Lacey's ex, Hok was jealous of the two during rehearsals.

The two is still shy about going public but Lacey has been going to the tapings and back stage of American Idol to wish David luck. She still prefers to sit in the audience behind the judges instead of with David's family.

I sure hope that David will not spend so much time with Lacey that it'll hurt his performance. I'm happy for the two but if he wants to win then he needs to manage his time carefully.

Butter Knife Pulled From Boy's Head

Yes it's true, a boy in Vancouver Washington had a butter knife removed from his head in a hospital on Sunday April 13, 2008. According to Fox news in Oregon, Tyler Hemmert and his friend was sitting on a park bench when another boy became angry at them and threw a butter knife at them. The knife became lodged in between Tyler's scalp and skull. Tyler went to a nearby house for help while his friend went to find Tyler's father. Tyler's father and the ambulance arrived and took Tyler to the hospital where they removed the knife. The police interviewed the boy who threw the knife. Juvenile authorities will decide if they will press charges.

I guess not everything is as harmless as it seems. I would have never thought that a butter knife could get lodged into someone's head. I bet the boy who threw the knife will think twice before doing that again.

Abbey Curran Miss Iowa USA running for Miss USA

Abbey Curran is the first contestant with a disability to be running for Miss USA. She was born with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects muscle control and coordination. She will need an escort walking her on the stage so she would not have to worry about falling. Her goal is to be on the top 15. I hope she at least make it that far. She sounds like a strong willed person and very determined. She will inspire many others with disabilities to follow their dreams. Good luck and I wish you the best.

I remember when I was a kid, I used to pretend to smoke with candy cigarettes. The packaging looked like a box of cigarettes and when you blow on the cigs, white powder would come out as if you're smoking. When you're done puffing the powder out, you can unwrap it and chew on the short lasting gum. I thought it was fun when I was a kid but, now I have a totally different view. Now I see that it can encourage kids to smoke. I can't believe that they promote smoking at such a young age.

American Idol Michael Johns voted off

April 10, 2008, just one night after Idol Gives Back, another contestant was booted off the show. Last year during the week of Idol Gives Back, they spared the contestants from elimination. This year they went on with the show.

This week's results came with a shock. Michael Johns was voted off tonight. I would of never guessed that Michael would be the one going this week. I thought he did well. This was Michael's first and last time he was one of the bottom three. Unfortunately he never made it out. This shows that no one is safe on the show. Now I wonder who will be next. It's getting harder now, I hope the remaining contestants are ready.

Artie Lange resigns or quits from Howard Stern's show

Artie Lange will no longer be part of Howard Stern's show. He was asked to leave on "disciplinary grounds" after a fight with his personal assistant Teddy off the air. The two were suppose to talk about their points of view on the air. The discussion turned ugly and Lange even lashed out at Teddy. Howard Stern did not like that and Artie responded with resigning. Howard accepted the resignation and we are now left with the show without Lange. Wow, Artie does seem to have some issues to take care of. Maybe this will get him to work out some things.

Nokia Tube is comparable to the Apple Iphone

Move over iPhone here comes Nokia. The Nokia Tube will be Nokia's first touch phone. It looks similar to the Apple iPhone as well as similar features such as playing movies and uploading photos. Unlike the iPhone though, the Tube will support Java. So far no mentions on which carrier will carry the phone nor when the release date will be. I guess we'll be waiting.

I love Apple products but not too fond of the iPhone. I don't like the qwerty keyboard. It's too narrow for me. I have small fingers but I still feel like I'm pressing two or three buttons at a time. I sure hope Nokia has a better keyboard.

For those who are not familiar with That's Amore, then you must of heard of Tila Tequila's A Shot Of Love. Domenico was one of the guys on A Shot Of Love who fought against guys and girls for Tila's affection. He was eventually booted off but MTV gave him his own show to find his true love. So this is where That's Amore comes in. Sixteen girls were brought together under one roof and pitted against each other to win Domenico's love. As the girls were picked off, only two remained, Megan Mirilovich and Kim. In the very end, Megan was the one who Domenico chose to love leaving Kim heart broken. Well HA, Kim was fake and I didn't like her. I'm glad that Megan won. She seems more genuine and they seem to be a perfect match.

Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana is joining the stage with many other stars on Idol Gives Back. She is the youngest star on the list of megastars that are set to appear on the show. She is going to draw a lot of kids to this show that's for sure.

Having Miley on the show is going to be big. Being loved by many children in the nation, she can set an example to all of her young fans to help those that need help. I believe she is a great role model for the children. Being so young at the age of 15 and a huge star she has her head on straight.

Ellen DeGeneres will not be on American Idol for Idol Gives Back

Rumor has it that Ellen DeGenees will not be co-hosting for Idol Gives Back. Sources of Access Hollywood said that the reason Ellen backed out was due to conflicting production schedule with her talk show. They report that they didn't know about the conflict until recently. Ellen was scheduled to tape the Idol Gives Back show on April 6th.
Hmm if she knew when she was going to tape the show, why didn't she plan ahead or said no when they asked? I wonder if there was another reason why she backed out?

Brad Pitt will be on American Idol for Idol Gives Back

Rumor has it that Brad Pitt will be on for Idol Gives Back. He is set to record the show in the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on April 6th. The show will then air on April 9th when they do the live broadcast on the American Idol stage.

Brad has already recorded his trip to New Orleans for his campaign, Make It Right. His campaign is focused on helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

American Idol's Ramiele Malubay was voted off

Ramiele Malubay, the small filipina with a strong voice got voted off last night. It was an emotional elimination for her as tears ran down her face. The bottom 3, Brooke, Ramiele, and Kristy were roomies which made the situation even more emotional for Ramiele. Well she shouldn't be too sad as she did very well on the show. Who knows, we may see her again on the cover of her album.

David Cook from American Idol went to the hospital

David Cook had an anxiety attack after the show on Tuesday night April 1, 2008. David Cook was driven to the hospital to see a private doctor. He was sent to the hospital for heart palpitations and high blood pressure. Unfortunately his condition was not resolved. The doctor gave Cook medications to control his high blood pressure but he will be back to see the doctor on Wednesday.

I wish him the best of luck. He is probably under a lot of stress from the show and family issues. Good luck.

New Kids On The Block on Today Show

New Kids on the Block will be on the Today Show this Friday. Rumors are that they are going to have a reunion tour. It would be a sight to see them back together again. Will it happen? It may as the Spice Girls did a reunion tour. I guess we'll have to watch and see.

I remember listening to them when I was in elementary school. I used to love their music. Music used to be my escape from the reality of my world.

Dolly Parton will have an guest appearance on American Idol

Rumors is that this week on American Idol Dolly Parton will make an appearance. The amazing singer will mentor the top 9 contestants. She will appear on April 1st and will return on April 2nd for a performance. She will perform her song, "Jesus and Gravity" from her next album, "Backwoods Barbie".
