Thomas Beatie is a Pregnant Man

Could this be true?  I've been waiting for something like this to happen since 13 years ago when I had to watch a video in heath class regarding childbirth.  I remember thinking it would be neat to have a guy go through labor but I didn't think it was really possible.

Thomas Beatie is a transgendered man who lives in Oregon. When he had his operation to to change from a female to a male, he kept his reproductive organs.  He is legally a man now and married to a woman.  He is five months pregnant and expecting a baby girl.  

A total surprise this was when I first heard it. A pregnant man? I guess he would be the person to ask this question, "which hurts more, getting kicked in the balls or having labor?  ...hehe  

Kimberly Locke guest star on American Idol

Kimberly Locke was a contestant on American Idol.  She was the last three standing on season two but she was voted off on 5/14/03.   Kimberly Locke will be back on the stage to perform her single "Fall" on result day, March 26, 2008 .  

I can't wait to hear her single and hear her update on her life and career path.  

I Got a Crush on Obama Song by Amber Lee Ettinger

I was watching Access Hollywood and they happened to talk about this video. She is known as the Obama Girl. She has over 7 million hits on her youtube video. People think that this Youtube video will help Obama's election. Amber Lee Ettinger wanted this song to help the younger crowd to get into politics. If that's the case then she should make a music video for each candidate. Where is Hillary Clinton's video?

Mariah Carey will be on American Idol in April

For those of you who can't get enough of Mariah Carey, Mariah will be lending her voice to American Idol on April 9th, 2008. She and other stars will be helping to raise money for American Idol Gives Back.

In other news, Mariah has beat the King of Rock himself, Elvis Presley. Mariah's hit single, "Touch My Body" has risen to No. 1 this week making it her 18th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She has just broke the record for having the most chart toppers for a solo act which was previously held by Elvis Presley. Congrats Mimi!!

Bunnies as Easter Gifts

I've decided to write about Easter gifts since I've been to the pet shops. They seem to be loaded with bunnies this time of the year. I was standing next to a lady that swooped her hands into the bunny cage and grabbed a bunny. She gave it to a little girl about the age of four. The little girl held the bunny tight with her arms like as if she was holding a stuff animal. You could see the eyes of the bunny wide open. Rabbits are really fragile. I don't people realize that not all bunnies are cute and cuddly. They can bite and growl, although not often, if they feel that they are threatened.

Bunnies are cheap to buy but it can be costly to maintain. I should know. I have two dwarf bunnies. Bunnies are very sensitive to noise and they can get sick easily. They can get fur balls (like cats) and get stuck in their intestines and that needs to be taken care of immediately. Vet fees runs around $50 (not including meds if they get sick). Getting your bunny spay/neuter can cost $175-$500 (to prevent a really high chance of getting cancer also). Please do alot of research before buying a bunny as well as any other pets.

The Celebrity Apprentice

On Celebrity Apprentice, each celebrity that wins a challenge, they get money for their charity. The top four was Lennox Lewis, Carol Alt, Piers Morgan and Trace Adkin. On the same night the top four was left, Donald Trump fired two more celebrities. I was disappointed that Carol Alt got fired. The other star fired was Lennox. Donald Trump wanted Piers Morgan and Trace Adkins to battle head-to-head on their last challenge.

Backstreet Boys will make an appearance as well as other celebrities for the finale. I guess we'll stay tune and find out what will happen next week.

American Idol's Top 10 result show

This result show was another shocker. The bottom three was Carly Smithson, Amanda Overmyer, and Kristy Lee Cook. I thought Kristy Lee Cook was going to be voted off but Amanda was voted off.

Audrina from "The Hills" goes topless

Recently photos of Audrina Patridge, from MTV's show "The Hills", of being topless have surfaced. Audrina states that the photos were taken years ago when she was just starting out and very trusting of others. Audrina says that she has learned a lesson from that experience and hopes that other young girls would learn from it too.

So what will happen to Audrina? Will she be kicked off the show? It will be interesting to see how MTV will handle this situation.

Kristin Davis' Sex Photos Hits the Web

Sex photos of Kristin Davis, one of the stars from Sex in the City, have been showing up on the internet. The photos were taken by an ex-boyfriend back in 1992. It is believed that he has sold 20 photos to a third party. Davis' representative denies that the woman in the photos were not Kristin. Rumors of a sex tape have been released too but again Kristin's representative denies it. Seems like more and more stars are getting tangled with sex scandals. They should be more careful.

Zivity.com...the new Myspace?

Silicon star, Scott Banister, Cyan Banister, his wife, and Jeffrey Westcott launched the new social network last year. Zivity has a two main differences compared to the more popular Myspace and Facebook. The site requires a monthly membership fee and IT ALLOWS NUDE PHOTOS! That's right, there are pictures of naked people.

Here's how it works. Members join and they do the same thing they do on Myspace and Facebook, making friends meeting people. Here's the difference, members get access to the nude photos and photographers and models can post their pictures and get paid. Members get five votes per month and the photographers and models get paid depending on how many votes they get.

According to Banister, the site also does not have ads which explains the subscription. Having no ads also allows the member to post nude photos and have confidence that his/her information will not be used for profit by anyone else.

I wonder how this will turn out?

Ashley Dupre or Ashley Alexandra Dupre Myspace

Ashley Alexandra Dupré's myspace and facebook (havent found it yet) accounts views have skyrocketed today. She is an aspiring musician and is now part of an alleged sex scandal with Eliot Spitzer, the former New York Governor. She was the high priced call girl that Eliot Spitzer hired. Eliot Spitzer knew her as Kristen. I can't wait to hear what Ashley Dupre or Ashley Alexandra Dupre (she goes by a few names)has to say. I am pretty sure there are two sides to this story but it seems that all we hear is Eliot Spitzer's side.

Chris Chike is the top Guitar Hero III player in the world. He was entered in the Guinness World Records. Great job!!! Watching the video makes me think about getting a hand cramp from playing that fast.

Tang Wei blacklisted in China

During March of 2008, Tang Wei (aka Rebecca Wei) the newest actress, has been blacklisted by the chinese government for her sexual nature in the movie, "Lust, Caution". Tang Wei was chosen from 10,000 actresses for this role. She plays an innocent naive school girl who turned into a sexy seductive spy. It's shocking that Tang Wei was the only actor out of the whole cast that was blacklisted. Neither of the characters were censored. I think it's kind of interesting that only she was the one to be banned. Basically any works or commercials that featured Tang Wei was taken of the market. I just wonder how this actress is taking this ban.

American Idol Results

Here's a quick recap. Syesha Mercado, David Hernandez and Kristy Lee Cook were Wednesday's bottom three. They all had to perform like it was their last performance before the results were announced. I thought Kristy Lee Cook was the one voted off but I was hoping that David Hernandez would get the boot. In the end though, it was David Hernandez who got voted off. His stripper scandal might have hurt him. Here is a little clip of what you missed if you did not get a chance to see it or if you just want to see it again:

Where can I get my taxes done for cheap?

Doing your own taxes vs going to a tax preparer. When I did my own taxes, I never thought that I would save that much money. I only paid about $9.95 and I considered my tax forms to be fairly easy. Last year, I paid $180 for a tax preparer to do my taxes. I read somewhere that the tax preparer from most major companies are temps. The temps come and go and if I have any problems with my taxes, I can't find the same tax preparer.

I don't know the difference between buying a tax program like turbo taxes vs going on one of the sites that the IRS site lists to do it yourself. It seems cheaper to do it on one of the site the IRS suggests than buying the program. If I have any questions, I can click on the question mark and it gives me more details. Most of it is self-explanatory.

Spring break

Spring break is much earlier this year.  Most of us that are having spring break in a couple of weeks (March 10-21 or March 17-21, 2008).  Most of the people I know are planning to go to Cancun, Mexico since it's pretty cheap and it's located close to California.  Cancun seems like  the top place to go almost every year.  Hawaii would be my choice of travel. I can picture myself kicking off my shoes and digging my feet into the sand.  Too bad I can't afford it. During spring break, I would probably study for my midterm after spring break. It's hard to work full-time and go to school.

Daylight Savings 2008

When I get off work, it's usually dark but it's nice to see some sun today. It felt like I got off work much earlier than usual. I'm just enjoying the sunlight. =) Daylight savings started on March 9, 2008 and it ends on November 2, 2008 at 2 am.

Britney Spears and Heidi Montag made a duet together???

I was listening to a local radio station and heard that there was a Heidi Montag duet with Britney Spears. I was shocked, thinking, "That's a weird duet." Both stars appear on a new track, but I heard Britney did not authorize the release of the song. Britney had no idea about it until Heidi leaked it out. It seems that Heidi and Spencer got a hold of an old demo recording of Britney's that never made it to her album. One of the producers, that used to work with Britney, gave them the song and Heidi recorded her vocals into the song. The song sounds really processed. Looks like a lawsuit is coming in Heidi's way.

Patrick Swayze diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

Patrick Swayze is a such a heavy smoker that he can smoke more 3 packs of cigarettes a day. Doctors have ordered him to quit smoking or he can lose the battle with pancreatic cancer.

I remember watching the movie, "Ghost" when I was a child. I grew up watching him. It's sad that he's diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We are all hoping for the best for him.

American Idol's David Hernandez was a stripper

There were rumors about American Idol contestant, David Hernandez being a striper at a gay club. I have found pictures that leaked online. The manager of the strip club, Dick's Cabaret claims that David Hernandez performed fully nude and gave lap dances to his male clients. He made good revenue for about 3 years until last September 30th. He quit his striping to become a contestant on American Idol. I could never look at him the same way again.
